A centrifugal pump is a pump that relies on the centrifugal force generated when the impeller rotates to transport liquids. The liquid in the impeller is pushed by the blades and rotates together with the blades. The centrifugal force generated by the rotation causes the liquid to move outward from the center and gain momentum. At the outer periphery of the impeller, the liquid is thrown out into the spiral flow channel. Due to the decrease in liquid speed, part of the kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy, thereby overcoming the resistance of the discharge pipe and continuously flowing out. The liquid at the suction port of the impeller is thrown outward, causing a low pressure (or vacuum) to form at the suction port. Therefore, the liquid in the suction pool is continuously pressed into the suction port of the impeller under the action of liquid surface pressure (usually atmospheric pressure), forming a continuous pumping effect.
